🔒 The short version: We don’t use cookies. We don’t use third-party analytics. We don’t track visitors. We don’t sell anyone’s data. If you email us or apply to list your funeral home, we use that information only to respond to you or evaluate your application. We never market to families using this site — you call the funeral home directly, not us.
CremationMatch.com, LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates the website CremationMatch.com (the “Site”), an online directory that helps consumers locate locally-owned cremation and funeral service providers. We are an Oregon Limited Liability Company.
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the Site. It does not apply to the privacy practices of any funeral home or cremation provider listed in our directory. Those businesses have their own privacy policies, and you should review them separately before sharing personal information with a listed provider.
Our Site does not set tracking cookies. We do not run Google Analytics or any similar visitor-analytics platform. We do not embed third-party trackers, advertising pixels, or social-media beacons on any page of the Site.
Our web host keeps standard server access logs (IP address, time of request, URL requested) as part of normal operation. These logs exist for security and operational purposes — they are not analyzed by us, not used to track or profile visitors, and not shared with any third party. They are retained by the hosting provider per their standard log-retention policy and are not used for marketing.
If you email us at contact@cremationmatch.com (or any other CremationMatch address), we’ll have your email address and whatever you chose to include in your message. We use that information only to reply to you. We do not add you to any mailing list.
If you submit the listing application form, we collect the information you provide (business name, contact name, email, phone, city, state, pricing, ownership structure, website, and notes) so we can evaluate your application. We use this information only to evaluate the application and, if accepted, to set up and operate your listing. We do not sell or share this information with third parties.
We do not collect payment card numbers or financial account information (see Section 5). We do not collect Social Security numbers, health information, biometric information, precise geolocation, or any other sensitive personal information. We do not collect information about families’ deceased loved ones.
The narrow set of information we do receive is used only as follows:
We do not use information for automated decision-making, behavioral profiling, or targeted advertising.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with listed funeral homes, with marketers, with data brokers, or with any other third party for marketing purposes.
We may disclose information only in these limited circumstances:
We do not store payment card or bank account information. If you become a listed provider and pay a listing fee, the payment is handled by a third-party payment processor that is responsible for securing and storing that information. We receive only confirmation that a payment was completed.
We do not use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, fingerprinting, or any similar tracking technology on this Site. Because we don’t track visitors, there are no analytics opt-outs to manage, no advertising preferences to configure, and no “Do Not Track” signals we need to respond to differently.
We do not market to or contact families who visit this Site. CremationMatch is a directory — when you find a provider here, you call or message the funeral home directly. We’re not in the middle of that conversation. We will not call, text, or email families based on Site activity.
If you affirmatively reach out to us (for example, by emailing us with a question), we’ll reply to your email. That’s the only outreach you will receive from us.

Because we collect essentially nothing from ordinary visitors — no cookies, no analytics, no tracking — there is generally nothing to opt out of. If you have emailed us or submitted a listing application, you may exercise these rights by contacting contact@cremationmatch.com. We will respond within 45 days.
We do not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months.
This Site is not directed to children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received information from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. The current version is always the one posted here. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
